Elementary Grades
"For the Birds! Activities to Replace Chick Hatching
in the K-6 Classroom."
Each year many elementary school teachers undertake
chick-hatching projects. These classroom exercises often produce
unintended, sometimes harmful, results. "For the Birds!" is
a 20-page booklet that offers alternatives to classroom chick hatching
and includes a list of useful resources and humane education materials.
